Colleen Dunn Bates

Colleen Dunn Bates is recently retired book publisher, writer, editor, and founder of Prospect Park Books. With extensive board experience, she has served as president of the PubWest board of directors and as a founding board member of LitFest Pasadena. Her community service includes roles as a trustee for Immaculate Heart High School, Altadena Town & Country Club, and Sequoyah School. Colleen holds a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California. A sixth-generation Los Angeles native, she lives in Altadena with her husband, a retired television editor and director. They have two daughters, one daughter-in-law, two young grandsons, and one anxious dog. An avid reader, tennis player, urban hiker, and podcast enthusiast, Colleen is also spending her retirement helping family, volunteering, and working as a consultant.
